| Great weekend here at the Doyle residence in spite of the snow. Saturday was our free day so we ate junk, junk, and more junk. I do try to control myself, but I'm pretty sure John doesn't. He ate a few cinnamon rolls along with all the other junk. I went to a baby shower for a friend in the ward yesterday. I had a great time visiting for over an hour with all my friends. I really like the people in this ward. After the shower John and I took the boys up to Mantua for my Grandma Hansen's birthday party. We had a lot of fun eating sandwiches and brownies, watching basketball and talking and laughing. 13 grandkids were present (including spouses) and 12 great grandkids were present. It was a huge birthday bash filled with lots of fun. I was glad we braved the storm to go up there. We spent a couple hours at my parent's house afterwards. While in Mantua Lincoln learned a new trick! He learned to CRAWL!!! I was so proud of him. He crawls backwards quite well now and only crawls forward a couple steps at a time, but is slowly improving. It's fun to watch and cute to see his little body moving around. Sunday was nice. I taught the joint Young Women lesson on preparing for an eternal family. There were a lot of questions and discussions about heaven, the 3 kingdoms, temple marriages, etc. I had a lot of participation and I think it went over quite well. I was pleased. I'm also pleased that I don't have to teach again for a couple months! I was really nervous. The rest of the Sabbath day was spent napping, playing animals, coloring, and eating dinner (spaghetti and meatballs). I just watched the last episode of Heroes from Season one and am fixing to watch the last episode of Lost. I love my shows! |
