Yesterday I babysat Lily and Noah again. It was my last time for awhile (until the spring). The kids all played really well and fun together. It was a good day. At 6:00 I went to young womens. We took the girls & the young men ice skating and had a blast. I wasn't prepared in time so I forgot to change my ankle socks to tall socks. I really regretted not changing them because the skates rubbed my ankle bones raw (and my legs where the skates ended). I haven't ice skated in years (over 10 years) but it only took my one skate around the rink to feel comfortable again. I never learned to stop because I was a chicken and afraid of falling, but I can skate pretty well frontwards and backwards (slowly). I helped several girls around the rink that were too afraid to let go of my arm or the side. Silly teenagers. After 2 hours of skating, talking, etc. we went back home. It was a fun day!
Today I gave the boys a bath before taking them to my friend, Cary's, house for play group. It was a small group of moms and kids so we mothers talked a lot and had fun. The rest of the day has been nice and peaceful. I cooked a yummy dinner and then John went to his basketball game. They won! John said that he and Mark were awesome on the court making all their free throws and a few 3-pointers. I'm glad that John likes basketball so much and has so much fun!
Tomorrow is Friday! Ya!
