Oliver loves The Lion King. It all started about a month ago when he watched the movie at my parent's house. He watched it on my parent's bed with most of his cousins and my dad. Since watching the movie he is always asking, "Watch Lion King with Papa?" Then on Sunday he found a Lion King book about Simba and Nala. He loved it so much that the nursery leader let him borrow it for the week. I have read it to him several times each day. I practically have it memorized. Then on Sunday night we borrowed the movie from Kim & Andy. Ollie's only watched it once since, but he just loves it! He sits and stares at the TV. I ask him questions and he tells me all about the animals that he sees. It's pretty cute, but I'm sure it will be hard to part with the book at church next week or the movie whenever that happens.
Lincoln is taking steps more and more while holding on to the couch or the railing of his crib. He likes to 'walk' from the couch to my shoulder (when I am sitting against the couch) and then to my knee. It's pretty cute! If this boy doesn't start crawling soon I'm starting to hope he'll start walking soon instead because he is getting super heavy. I'll wish that he couldn't move once he does so we'll see. Today he also learned how to turn on the musical toy hanging in his crib (a birthday present to Oliver from Grandma Doyle). He loves the toy and loves to see it move! He's a cute boy!
Today I didn't babysit and I almost got bored, but not quite. I played with the boys, went to the store for milk and hairspray and read a bunch of books to the boys. I was happy when they took their afternoon naps at the same time and for so long because that gave me a chance to read my book, Uglies, that I borrowed from Steph. It's a great book so far. After a long time of reading I got dinner prepared. It was a pot of soup. I love 'one pot wonders' because the clean-up is so easy! Oliver refused to eat it (as usual) and Lincoln loved it and begged for more! Most days he only eats baby jarred foods for one meal. The other meal is usually what we are eating (or at least a variation of it). I have introduced him to meats and he loves them all. He still hasn't eaten dairy products, but I think that's not supposed to happen until 9 months, so we'll wait a while for that!
Tomorrow I babysit and then I have Young Womens. We are going ice skating and leaving at 6:15. Oh, that reminds me that I have to go call my girls to remind them about tomorrow!
