We had a nice weekend. I'm not entirely sure what we did all weekend, but I remember that it was nice. Saturday was our free day so that always makes me happy. By the end of the day John and I were both saying how all week we dream of great things to eat and then end up not eating all that bad after all. Good this be the start of good habits? Saturday evening we took the boys out to dinner. They were both great at the restaurant (Applebee's) eating their food. Oliver had mac n cheese and I had a cheese pasta dish. Lincoln ate some of my food and some of John's potatoes. He sure does love to eat off of our plates.
Sunday started early for us. John had his meetings so I got up and got the boys ready and then myself. We were ready and at church a couple minutes early! The heater was broken so we stayed in our coats the whole time! Oliver went to the nursery on his own and stayed the entire time! I was so grateful and his leaders said that he did great the whole time! Ya! After church my folks stopped by and then I had a 2 hour meeting and then we went to sing Happy Birthday to Oaks. The whole drive out to Herriman Oliver sang songs (happy birthday to oakley, twinkle twinkle, itsy bitsy spider, etc) He also enjoyed pointing out the scenery (flags, trees, trucks, mountains, lights). Lincoln go bored after 20 minutes so I sat by him and held his hand. I loved being with the family, hearing steph's dating stories, hearing Oliver tell Oakley that he should share his presents and borrowing Lion King (Oliver's new favorite).
Monday I babysat again and the day went very smoothly. Oliver plays great with Lily and pretty good with Noah. They had fun running around, playing with the baby animals, playing in the tent, eating food and helped me clean up the toys a couple times. Lincoln took 2 naps during the day and I was amazed he could sleep through all the commotion.
I was shocked by the sudden snowstorm today (I knew it was coming sooner or later, but when I looked out the window the sun was shining and then 2 minutes later it was a blizzard). I hear that we are supposed to get several more storms this week. I would love for spring to be here already, but if we have to still have cold winter weather I'm glad that we have snow too. It doesn't seem so dreary when there is snow on the ground!
Tonight John went to the gym and then shoveled the driveway with the help of a neighbor on a four-wheeler! I gave the boys a bath (after spaghetti, Lincoln was a mess) and now they are fast asleep!
